Designer/dressmaker Philippa Barter has over 20 years experience specialising in Couture garments for individual clients. Her celebrated creations range from limited-edition leather jackets & velvet coats, to unique wedding dresses.

Philippa spent much of the 1980's living in the Middle East where she gained a wide experience in fine silks, exotic saris & luxurious velvets that have become a keynote in her designs.

For the past decade Philippa has been successfully marketing her designs from her studio in Monmouth to clients across Britain & now world-wide, including T.V. & film personalities, nobility & Royalty.

At the 2001 BRITISH BRIDAL AWARDS Philippa's stunning White Leather dress & jacket won the Alternative Venue Section, with two other designs reaching the semi finals.

Philippa specializes in Couture wedding dresses, ensuring that each bride has a garment unique to them. Designs are formulated in full consultation with the bride at Philippa's informal studio. All aspects of wedding outfits can be coordinated, from the wedding dress to the bridesmaids, brides mother, hat trims & bags.

Philippa's most recent successes have been in Dubai with highly acclaimed collections designed for the DUBAI WORLD CUP horse racing season.

2002 saw the launch of BUFFERS, a ready-to-wear collection of designer fleece jackets that allow the wearer to be stylish & warm. These are available by mail order via brochure or from the BUFFERS website
